By changing library seating to a more learner centered environment, students are able to focus on their task/assignments. Teachers are able to use the space in a more productive way because they have the option of whole class instruction, small group seating, individual seating or computer lab. The library is used every day in some capacity.
Students are able to come during homeroom, lunch and after school to work on classwork, projects, or check their grades.
Teachers love to bring their classes to the library to work on various assignments. Most reservations include me as a resource.
I provide a service to both teachers and students by teaching various information literacy skills, creating slam dunks, as well as curating resources that are both digital and non-digital.

Makerspaces-Very low tech for now...students love to come daily during lunch to leisurely work on a puzzle, fiddle with Legos, play a game, color or create snap circuits.

Varied seating-
Many students come to the library, throughout the day, for reduced distractions, make up work, work on projects, take a test...
Teachers are often able to find a nook here or there for pull out groups.
Chairs can be dragged or rolled to make "personal space".
Whole class seating at tables- available as well as LCD projector, docking station and speakers.
Library Computer Lab- able to accommodate a large class.
